How Rent Munich handles renter data

This policy explains the data that the current Rent Munich product handles today. It is written for the live MVP surface: listing discovery, inquiry submission, blog reading, and relocation-related browsing.

What we collect

When you submit a listing inquiry, we collect the details you enter into the form, including your name, email address, optional phone number, preferred viewing times, selected service add-ons, and any note you provide.

We also process technical anti-abuse signals needed to protect the inquiry flow, such as submission timing, honeypot validation, optional CAPTCHA results when enabled, and an IP-derived identity hash used for rate limiting.

You can browse listings and blog content without creating a renter account in this MVP.

Why we use it

We use inquiry data to respond to rental interest, coordinate viewing requests, review service selections, and let the internal team follow up inside the admin workflow.

We use security and anti-spam data to detect abuse, enforce submission limits, and keep the public inquiry flow usable for real renters.

Where the data goes

Listing and inquiry records are stored through the app's Supabase-backed data layer. Access to submitted inquiries is limited to the internal admin surface and server-side processing paths used by the current application.

We do not describe any separate marketplace account system, advertising profile, or landlord self-serve portal here because those capabilities are not part of the current MVP scope.

Retention and your requests

We keep inquiry information for as long as it is needed to review, respond to, and operationally track the request, plus reasonable follow-up and security review needs.

If you need access, correction, or deletion support for inquiry data you submitted through this site, contact us by email and include enough detail for us to identify the request safely.
